- According to a series of court records released on 31st August, Roche is understood as “no longer involved” in the class action practice of Roche Freedman.
- Behind allegations made by Crypto Leaks, Kyle Roche, the high-profile crypto lawyer, has filed to withdraw as counsel on several crypto class action lawsuits.
As per a series of court records released on 31st August, Roche is understood to be no longer involved in Roche Freedman’s class action practice. The law firm has also filed to withdraw Roche as attorney in class action lawsuits that involve Tron and Global Trading.
Cryptocurrency law firm Roche Freedman said Roche would withdraw as one of the attorneys for the Proposed Class in a motion to withdraw as attorney in the Tether and Bitfinex Crypto asset litigation case. Also, Mr. Roche is no longer involved in the class action practice of Roche Freedman.
Roche’s withdrawal from the lawsuit comes amid the fallout of the latest CryptoLeaks expose, which features videos of Roche allegedly disclosing a relationship with Ava Labs and a “secret pact” to “harm” challengers through the United States legal system.
On 30th August, Roche unleashed a statement disowning the allegations, claiming they are an attempt by a dissatisfied defendant from a previous case.
Emin Gün Sirer, Ava Labs CEO, followed suit, denying the contended arrangement with Roche, calling it “conspiracy theory nonsense.”
Cryptoleaks, an anonymous website that claims to launch investigations based on whistleblowers’ information and exposes attacks and scams in the crypto world, has not backed away from its claims.
Roche’s withdrawal from the case shortly after the leak has seen speculation about the cause. Still, there is no confirmation about the reason for his withdrawal and whether they will proceed with the lawsuit.
