Telit further bolsters its IoT portfolio by acquiring group assets from California-based startup Mobilogix.
Mobilogix specializes in custom, global IoT solutions. Telit anticipates that the acquisition will enable it to decrease the complexity and time-to-market deployment of IoT solutions.
Paolo Dal Pino, CEO of Telit, said that companies adopting IoT from Fortune 500 to startups prefer to start from a business idea or a vision and turn them directly into competitive, viable, ready-to-launch devices and solutions without taking focus away from their core businesses.
They have award-winning, industry-leading modules, connectivity, and platforms at Telit. Adding the Mobilogix expertise in design and industrialization allows them to build end-to-end custom solutions, fully utilizing all their offerings for their customers to concentrate on their business and objectives.
Mobilogix brings comprehensive device engineering expertise and resources to Telit that concentrate on optimizing specifications for handoff to electronic manufacturing services, original device manufacturing, and the attainment of regulatory approvals and carrier certification.
Mathi Gurusamy, CEO of Mobilogix, said they built Mobilogix into a successful global business with a razor-sharp focus on creating competitive, custom IoT solutions quickly for customers in verticals such as telematics, healthcare, micro-mobility, construction, and agriculture, sourcing modules and connectivity from across the IoT value chain.
Bringing solutions with all-Telit modules, connectivity, and platforms makes the custom design much more efficient for their large and small customers to get to market. As part of Telit, they can create these projects faster and reach a much larger market.
Telit’s acquisition of Mobilogix comes hot on the heels of its purchase of Thales’ cellular IoT products earlier this month. Pending regulatory approvals and closing conditions of that acquisition, Telit will become Telit Cinterion.
