Jan Van Engelen Appointed As The New CEO Of MAAS Aviation

Tim Macdougald To Serve As Chief Business Development Officer

Although Macdougald is stepping down from his position as CEO, he will continue to be an active part of the company as the Chief Business Development Officer, working on further growth initiatives. With 14 years of experience at MAAS, he will continue supporting the senior leadership team and all colleagues at MAAS’ global facilities.

Van Engelen has previously served as the CEO of Swissport, a ground handling and aviation services company operating in Continental Europe. He has also held various senior positions within CAE, which is the global leader in aviation training services.

As the CEO at MAAS, Van Engelen’s main responsibility is to lead the team toward achieving the strategic plan of driving sustainable growth and building long-term partnerships.

Van Engelen expressed his excitement about joining MAAS Aviation and working with the team of professionals who have built the strong brand and reputation of MAAS. He holds degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Business Administration. He is an ambassador for the Foundation Highflyers, which provides sick and disabled children the opportunity to become a pilot for the day.
