Red Magic launched its new gaming smartphones, Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro, in China on Monday. The newly launched handsets have terrific specification sheets full of high-end hardware. The smartphones released are from ZTE sub-brand Nubia, equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoCs and up to 16 GB of RAM.
Both the Red magic smartphones mobile devices sport 6.8-inch AMOLED displays and an under-display front camera. The vanilla model has a 165 Hz refresh rate display, a 4500 mAh battery, and a 120 W fast charging support.
However, Red Magic 7S Pro has a lower 120 Hz display but a bigger 5000 mAh battery with a 135 W fast charging support and Red Core 1 dedicated gaming chipset.
Price & Availability of Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro
The price of the Nubia Red Magic 7S starts at CNY 3999 (INR 47400 approx) for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The price of the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant is CNY 4799 (INR 56900 approx). The price of the 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage variant, which tops the line, is CNY 5,499 (INR 65200 approx).
The Red Magic 7S Pro price starts at CNY 5199 (INR 61650 approx) for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The price of the 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage variant is CNY 5999 (INR 71100 approx).
There is also a Special Transformer Edition Red Magic 7S Pro priced at CNY 6,499 (INR 77,000 approx) for the 16GB and 512GB storage. The smartphones are available for pre-booking and will go on sale from July 15.
Specifications of Red Magic 7S
The dual-SIM (Nano) Nubia Red Magic 7S runs Android 12-based Red Magic OS 5.5 and sports a 6.8-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, DC Dimming, and SGS eye protection certification. It is generated by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. During long gaming sessions, the smartphone also gets ICE Magic Cooling System 9.0 to keep the phone’s temperature under check.
The Red Magic 7S has a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter for photos and videos. At the front is an 8-megapixel under-display camera for selfies and video calls.
The Red Magic 7S packs up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The connectivity options on the smartphone are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm jack. Onboard sensors include GNSS GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The smartphone packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging, and it also features dual speakers with DTS Sound.
Specifications of Red Magic 7S Pro
The dual-SIM (Nano) Red Magic 7S Pro specifications are the same as the vanilla model. It has the same Android 12-based Red Magic OS 5.5 and sports a 6.8-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with DC Dimming and SGS eye protection certification. But, it offers a lower 120Hz refresh rate. It is also generated by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
However, unlike the Red Magic 7S, the Pro variant comes with ICE 10.0 Magic Cooling technology. Furthermore, the Pro variant also gets a Magic GPU frame stabilization engine and Red Core 1 dedicated gaming chipset. The rear and front camera setup is the same on both Red Magic 7S Pro and Red Magic 7S.
The Red Magic 7S Pro packs up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage option. The connectivity options on the smartphone are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm jack. Onboard sensors include GNSS GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Beidou, Proximity Sensor, and Gyroscope. The smartphone packs a 5,500mAh battery with support for 135W fast charging, a dual X-axis linear motor, a game shoulder button, and dual speakers with DTS Sound.
The Special Transformer Edition Red Magic 7S Pro comes in different packaging and has the exact specifications as the Red Magic 7S Pro.
